JACK'S STATION

Jack's Station is a 5,000 S.F. adaptive reuse project located in the St. John's neighborhood of Portland, Oregon. The large overhang in front of the three garage bays of the former auto-repair shop was retrofit with tongue and groove ceiling planks and now provide a covered outdoor seating area for the italian restaurant, Gabagool.  There is a barber shop, Morehouse Barbers in the front storefront, where the angled windows provide sightlines into the space without reflective glare. The center roof of the building was completely burned in a fire and was rebuilt with voluntary seismic upgrades providing an added level of safety to current occupants. This center portion of the roof boasts 9 skylights.  Wood trim highlights a matte finish on all of the new doors, overhead doors and windows. All of the plumbing, electrical and HVAC were brought up to current code.
